Product information
The Moomins have a lot to celebrate. In 2020, it has been 75 years since the publication of the first Moomin story, and Finlayson will celebrate its 200th anniversary. The Starmoomin pattern sees the residents of Moominvalley throw a big August party to mark the occasion of Moominmamma’s lost handbag being found. Thingumy and Bob have seats of honour as the finders of the handbag. The tables groan under a sumptuous feast and fireworks light up the summer sky. Thingumy and Bob add to the excitement by revealing the King’s Ruby in their suitcase, which immediately enchants everyone in attendance. The Starmoomin potholder’s practical, stitched groove running diagonally from corner to corner ensures a better grip and protects the hands from hot kitchenware. We think this is everyday design at its best. The top material of the potholder is 100% rib weave cotton, which is firm and thickish. The wadded filling is flexible and heat-resistant. It contains 70% cotton and 30% polyethylene. The handy Easy Care treatment makes the fabric easier to iron after washing. The set contains two potholders. Display the Starmoomin potholder by hanging it from its loop. Update your kitchen’s look and create a balanced feel with other kitchen and table textiles from the same series. The designs of Finlayson’s Moomin products are based on Tove Jansson’s original illustrations and they are genuine © Moomin Characters™ licensed products. -
