These linen sheets are made to last. Made from linen, the Mary Magdalene sheet is undoubtedly one of the most durable and sustainable sheets on the market. You might even say it is sinfully good. The secret behind the durability of this sheet is linen and the same twill binding used in our Jesus linen duvet cover and the Shroud of Turin it is modelled after. This product is a tribute to a sustainable production method. All unnecessary details that tend to suffer wear and tear in heavy use – such as the textile care instructions – are embroidered directly on the fabric and all of the seams are reinforced.
As a material, linen is a beautiful, durable and environmentally friendly natural fibre. Linen is a heavy fabric, smooth and stiffer than other fabrics because it has a low thread count (TC), a special characteristic of linen. This is why linen absorbs moisture well but also dries quickly. As a breathable fabric, linen keeps cool when it’s hot and warms you when the temperature drops. Linen sheets do not pill but, in fact, will look as good as new even after years of heavy use. The more the fabric is washed, the more comfortable and softer it will get. Regular ironing or mangling after washing decreases excessive fibres falling off the product, a trait of linen fabrics.
Are you a fan of linen? Put together a full set by combining this sheet with our unique Jesus linen duvet cover set and pillow cover, which come with a 50-year warranty.
The linen product is certified under the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX framework. The certification is a sign of high quality, the absence of harmful chemicals and safe use.
