May we introduce a bedspread that combines 100% beauty, design and recycled materials.

The Kenno bedspread pleases the most demanding eye and conscience. The bedspread is fluffy, and thanks to being lightweight, bedding is fast and effortless – every single day. The surface of the bedspread is beautiful and waffle-like, wonderfully soft to the touch. It’s almost hard to believe the bedspread is made from 100% recycled polyester. The polyester originates from recycled PET plastic bottles. The bottles are crushed and spun into a polyester yarn.

And where are the bottles from? They are collected from shopping centres and restaurants by private waste management companies in India, where plastic bottles are used in very large amounts without a plastic bottle system collection system similar to the one in Finland. India has strong expertise in the production of recycled textiles. That is why we decided to have the product made in India by a responsible and highly competent partner.

Here’s how many bottles are recycled for each bedspread:
Bedspread 160 x 260 cm – approximately 35–40 bottles
Bedspread 200 x 260 cm – approximately 40–45 bottles
Bedspread 260 x 260 cm – approximately 45–52 bottles

Pair the solid-coloured Kenno bedspread with printed cushions to refresh the looks of your bedroom in a moment.

The product has been granted the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate, indicating that the product does not contain harmful chemicals and is safe to use.

We make continuous effort to improve the sustainability of our products. Every day, we replace some of the ordinary cotton in our products with more sustainable materials, such as certified organic and Fair Trade cotton, recycled materials and linen. The emissions of this product have been successfully reduced by using recycled cotton.
